WHAT IS A CUSTOM PETERBILT PICKUP
We like to think we are doing our part to help keep America beautiful in two ways. One we keep old trucks from just sitting around rotting away and two we put a beautiful work of art out on our highways and by-ways.
It takes a lot of work and dedication to build one of these beauties. But its what we love to do. approximatley 1000 to 1500 hours go into building one of these.
The very first thing we do after the customer chooses the chassis and cab they want to use is strip it all done to bare metal. The frame gets some new cab mounts added to accomidate the peterbilt cab, powdercoated and all new bushings and brake lines and so forth.
The cab gets media blasted, any and all questionable metals are replaced . We take any where from 6 to 10 inches out of the heighth of the cab to make it look a little more like a pickup and it helps it better match the bed. The picture to the right is a prime example of why we shorten the heighth of the cab. This truck is one of the first ones built and it just dont look like a pickup. Since then we have done some fine tuning and fitting, to get closer to a pickup look.
These trucks are all show quality and all my customers say " every where they go people stop and stare and ask them questions". So if you don't want to be in the lime light dont get one of these.
